Title: Multi-Epitope Vaccine Candidate Design Against Chikungunya Virus

Abstract: Chikungunya virus has caused several epidemic outbreaks in various geographical regions, including Africa, Asia, and Europe. Even after years of its discovery, treatment or vaccine for Chikungunya is still not approved for personal use. Here we discuss the epitopes efficiency of the antigens that can be used to develop the Chikungunya vaccine using in silico approaches. Vaccines can give a long-lasting immunity to the body against the disease and protect the body from its devasting symptoms. A multi-epitope vaccine can generate a strong immune response if a vaccine is designed with the dominant epitopes—accordingly, this dissertation focuses on the development of a multi-epitope vaccine with the help of immune-informatics tools.
