This study focuses on disaster resilience planning for Kalinamai village in Manipur. The region is susceptible to various natural hazards, including floods, landslides, and earthquakes. The objective of this research is to identify the major hazards affecting the livelihood of the village community and develop a comprehensive disaster resilience plan that will enhance the community’s ability to withstand and recover from these hazards. The study employs a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating scientific knowledge, community engagement, and local expertise. It includes an assessment of the village's vulnerability and exposure to hazards and an analysis of existing infrastructure, resources, and socio-economic factors. Through participatory methods, the research identifies priority areas for intervention, such as infrastructure improvements, and community-based preparedness measures. The proposed resilience plan encompasses short-term and long-term strategies, including capacity building and disaster risk reduction measures. The findings of this study can serve as a valuable resource for policymakers, local authorities, and community stakeholders in developing effective disaster resilience plans for Kalinamai village and similar vulnerable regions. By implementing these measures, the village can enhance its resilience and minimize the adverse impacts of future disasters, leading to a more sustainable and secure future for its residents.en_US
