| dc.description.abstract | Employment of batch and sequential fermentation enables enhancement of specific optimization parameters, coupled with separate fermentation of hexose and pentose gives insights for higher product yield. The employment of second-generation accounts for economic viability coupled with addressing the food shortage. This report discusses the thought of getting the ethanol from non-edible feedstock to provide a rationale for the ‘food vs fuel’ debate.
