Abstract: SuShiksha is a quiz mobile application targeted for children who don’t have access to quality education, and can potentially help them in improving their logic and I.Q. This app tries to lessen the gap between them and others having access to the required resources, so that they can practice these questions and improve their aptitude and problem-solving ability. The front-end of the app is developed using Flutter, which is an open-source framework, created by Google, based on Dart programing language. The backend of the app is developed using Node.js, MongoDB, and the server runs on a self-hosted server at Computational Biology and Translational Bioinformatics Lab (CBTB lab) at Department of Biotechnology, IIT Roorkee having NGINX to route the basic HTTP server and a PM2 daemon running the backend. There is also a web console created using React.js, which helps the admin to easily add questions to the database. This app was already developed by two students last year, but there were a lot of things that needed to be added such as adding more questions to the database, implementing age-filtering algorithm so that children of different age groups receive questions based on their age, UI changes such as making the app more responsive, making the app more enjoyable by adding different GIFs for correctly answering questions of different difficulties, added scores to mark users based on whether their response is correct and the difficulty of the question. The end goal of this project is to launch the app in the Play Store after testing, so that it can be played by users who may benefit from it, and also to maintain the app such as fixing any potential bugs and issues faced by users while playing the app.
