Abstract: In the recent few years, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are a hot topic of attraction because of their unique properties, and that is why there are more than 2300 publications in only a few years. For example, PSCs have achieved a power conversion efficiency (PCE) around 22%, comparable to silicon and other thin-film technologies. In addition, perovskites have a facile, low-temperature solution based fabrication method that makes it easier to make than their competition in the market. Perovskites have some amazing properties like colossal magnetoresistance, superconductivity, ferroelectricity. Perovskites have solution-based fabrication approach which makes them easier to make compared to Si solar cells. One of the most significant advantages of the metal halide perovskite is that we can tune the bandgap of perovskite by halide substitution. The topic of the dissertation was to fabricate a mixed- halide perovskite and study its optoelectronic properties. MAPbI3-xClx was synthesized, and its various characteristics has been studied using X-ray diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy, and Photoluminescence spectroscopy, and the results are at the end.
