Title: Simulation of Underground Coal Gasification
Authors: Mahawar, Viplav
Issue Date: Jun-2021

Abstract: The underground coal gasification is a process which we extract use products from the coal bed without actually mining the coal. Two wells are drilled in the bed one is to inject air into the bed while the other is to extract the product formed inside.Combustion is occurred inside with the help of incombustible (Oxygen and air) send via first well. The second well is used to extract product formed by combustion of coal inside (mainly carbon monoxide) which can further be used to form snygas. We know that syngas is a key component of the polymer industry. Also electric plants can be attached to UCG to produce electricity with the gases coming out of the UCG plant.
