Title: Nucleon-Nucleus Elastic Scattering using Optical Model Potential
Authors: Sharma, Vratika
Issue Date: Jun-2021
Publisher: IIT Roorkee
Abstract: The basic features of elastic scattering in the spherical nuclear optical model are discussed with the quantum description of Scattering theory, including the partial wave analysis to provide the solution of the many-body phenomenon in real scenarios. The calculation of cross-section, angular distributions, and other quantities are described, which plays a vital role in the explanation of nuclear reactions. Step by step code development methodology is shown, and then graphs are plotted for the scattering of the nucleon with magnesium nuclei in a low energy range.
