DIRECT AND INVERSE PROBLEMS FOR CERTAIN SUMSETS IN ADDITIVE NUMBER THEORY

Abstract

This Project report will focus on the Direct and inverse problems for certain sumsets in Number Theory. First,we will study sumsets for sets of integers and then we will discuss about sumsets for an abelian group, The Cauchy-Davenport Theorem, Vosper’s theorem, generalization of The Erdos-Heilbronn Conjecture and Kneser’s theorem.
