Abstract: The study investigates whether Aghion and Howitt's Schumpeterian theories are in line of India growth record. Empirical findings reveal that throughout the last five decades, according to assumptions of Schumpeterian theory, Intensity in research is considered to be the driving factor for India’s growth. This study includes the check for long-term association of Research & Development activities and product varieties.
