| Abstract: | To support the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) theory, this study experimentally evaluates the co-integrating connection among variables in India, including carbon emissions, economic amplification, square of economic amplification, total energy generation, economic structure, & trade volume. The EKC hypothesis is not supported by the results of the ARDL bounds testing technique for co-integration for the period 1960–to 2020. As a result, the Inside this case of India, the EKC hypothesis doesn't really hold true since the correlations between carbon emissions & economic development are not substantial. Furthermore, the research shows that energy supply & carbon emissions have a considerable positive association. An increase in power supply that is commensurate to the increase in dem& results in a more enormous rise in carbon emissions. To deal with the beneficial power's effect on carbon dioxide emissions, the research proposes that country increase its renewable & clean energy-producing capacity as soon as possible. |
