| Abstract: | This study performs Literature Survey of Natural Fiber Reinforced HDPE composites by Fiber Treatment, Compatibilizer, their Combination and Palsule processes. The report compares Tensile Modulus and also Tensile Strength values recorded in literature with those predicted by various empirical equations and presents the performance and efficiency of the equations. This study develops areca fiber (ARF) reinforced Chemically Functionalized HDPE (CF-HDPE) composites (ARF/CF-HDPE) by Palsule process and evaluated Tensile Properties, fiber/matrix adhesion and thermal stability of the ARF/CF-HDPE composites. The tensile strength and the tensile modulus of the ARF/CF-HDPE composites increased with increasing ARF contents in the composites, but their elongation at break decreased. These properties have also been predicted by standard equations and compared with experimentally measured values. |
