Abstract: At present paper industries, use many types of raw materials like wood and non-wood for the production of paper-based products. Many industries used some hardwood along with non-wood material to improve the physical properties of the product. Areca is also a non-wood-based material, which is mainly used for the production of bio disposable plates. The chemical composition of Areca fiber and fiber length is good as compared to other agro-based fibers. Use of areca pulp in papermaking by blending with other agro fiber in place of hardwood the physical properties of the paper was found to be increased. When areca fiber was blended with wheat straw pulp and hardwood pulp, then its physical property like Tear, Tensile, and Bulk was increased. So to improve the physical property of pulp we can use areca fiber in place of hardwood to substitute the hardwood pulp.
