| Abstract: | A Fragility analysis plays a extremely important role in assessing the vulnerability of struc tures under various loading conditions. In the context of reinforced concrete (RC) structures, the consideration of material uncertainty becomes paramount to capture the inherent vari ability in material properties. This study presents a comprehensive introduction to fragility analysis of RC structures, focusing on the incorporation of material uncertainty. The ob jective is to provide an overview of the concepts, methodologies, and challenges associated with conducting fragility analysis while considering the uncertain nature of concrete and steel materials. Here firstly latin hypercube sampling from the importance sampling meth ods has been done to generate the variability in different material properties such as concrete characteristic strength, steel yield strength, masonry shear strength and damping in order to generate 30 statistically significant and nominally identical samples. Then three different structural/building models are made in OpenSees software. Then selection of GM records suite has been done and GMs are all scaled to a well defined spectrum(design). Now comes the time to choose an incremental scale factor. Finally Non linear time history analysis for each scaled GM has been done and plot the IDA curves and subsequently fragility curves. |
