Title: CONVERSION OF THE BATCH PROCESS OF RECOVERY OF CAUSTIC INTO CONTINUOUS BY ELECTROLYSIS USING A MATHEMATICAL MODEL

Abstract: The study aimed to find a more sustainable and efficient way to make Caustic for the paper industry. The classic method for making Caustic uses a Causticizing Reaction, which involves mixing green liquor with lime milk to make Caustic. As a result, the process produces a large amount of Solid Waste in Contaminated Calcium Carbonate. This Calcium Carbonate can't be reused because it's highly polluted, and recovering it isn't cost-effective. At the same time, the main objective is to modify the Electrolysis Processes in a continuous cycle. For any industrial application of the process, it must be cost-effective so that it is beneficial for the industries and the environment at the same time. Also, to optimize the Electrolysis process, we get the maximum current efficiency, and the Energy Consumption is minimum. The study's primary goal is to create Caustic using a more environmentally friendly technology, such as Membrane Electrolysis, a direct process. The other purpose is to improve its recovery and optimize the input and performance factors that lead to Caustic development.
