Abstract: Before the fifth-generation mobile network (5G), the user device has communicated through the base station (BS). In 5G, the user devices having the same local area communicate di rectly or communicate with the help of a relay device. This whole communication happens without going through their BS, known as device-to-device (D2D) communication. But there are problems related to the trusted user, user privacy, and limited battery life of the relay device. So, to solve trusted user and user privacy problems, we can use the social domain (SD) information, and to solve the limited battery life of the relay device problem, we can reserve the battery life of the relay device. SD gives information related to socially connected users. We can use social strength information for the relay’s battery reservation. We have created the simulation, and we examined the communication of the same user devices in BS, D2D, and D2D with SD information. Finally, we examined which type of communication gives better throughput.
