Abstract: This work analyses the effects of the combination of different Turbulence-Chemistry Interaction (TCI) and radiation models to predict the temperature and species concentration of the turbulent non-premixed flames such as Sandia-D and Sandia-E, and DLR-A and DLR-B. We also compared our numerical results with the experimental data. The simulation results were obtained by using two CFD codes OpenFoam (OF) and Ansys Fluent (AF). The experimental data were taken from the TNF workshop. Flames were studied under the turbulent non-premixed flames in this work. GRI-3.0 is used as a chemical-kinetics mechanism. The model constant πΆπœ–1 was modified from 1.44 to 1.6 in the standard π‘˜βˆ’Τ‘ model. The 𝛽 PDF and the Eddy Dissipation Concept (EDC) Turbulence-chemistry Interaction (TCI) models were used in AnsysFluent and the PaSR and the EDC TCI models were used in OpenFoam. The calculation of radiative heat transfer was done with the use of two radiation models Discrete ordinates (DO) and P1. The simulation results confirm that the turbulence model π‘˜βˆ’Τ‘ with πΆπœ–1=1.6 Predicts better than the standard π‘˜βˆ’Τ‘ model and the radiation model discrete ordinates (DO) predicts better than that of P1.
