The objective of the proposed project is to find a robust method for state estimation of the distribution network and check the Sustainability by applying it to a practical distribution system. This paper is proposed the traditional weighted least square method to obtain the measurement uncertainty and estimate the state variable value close to the true value. As the adequacy and quality of measurement devices are not proper so this paper focuses on analyzing the result by applying it on the IEEE 13 bus standard test feeder and try to estimate the associated uncertainty of state. In this report power and voltage, measurements are calculated equivalent to a rectangular coordinate form of current. The impact of untransposed lines, unbalanced network, unbalanced parameters not only affect the accuracy of.estimated value but also on bad data rejection equally. So this leads to the requirement of a synchronized phase measurement unit at the distribution level. Due to unprecedented changes in the distribution network as distributed generation like wind, solar and many other renewable energy sources results in a dramatic increase in voltage point of connection, and these types of networks required more real-time control of voltage and var control. The control of these.devices needs to coordinate with the distribution network for optimal operation and operational visibility.of the network and this is done by state estimation.en_US
