The research work in this dissertation aims at designing an ultra-wideband balun for harmonic suppression in the push-pull power amplifier. The push-pull topology is a well-known technique used for even harmonic suppression in case of power amplifier. The key component in a push-pull power amplifier is balun, which acts as a transition between balanced and unbalanced transmission line. A broadside coupled line-based balun has been designed for the frequency range 0 - 2 GHz. To characterize the balun completely both standard and mixed mode S-parameters have been calculated. These results are also validated using simulation data.en_US
