Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) now days mostly uses in the electric vehicle. Because of Permanent magnet synchronous motor have the potential to provide the fast-dynamic torque response, and also It has high efficiency. Also, for the same power application, PMSM will be small in size than the induction motor. Also, using vector control PMSM, we are able to control both torque and flux linkage individual like same before we are able to control in separately excited dc motor. Also discussed the sensor less control briefly, here we increase the reliability and decrease the cost of the system so we can use this system for a low-cost application. Flux weakening was also discussed to show that how we are achieving the speed above the base speed in PMSM. Also, we discussed the different speed and position estimation schemes so we can find the position of the rotor.en_US
