The various possible types of guiding structures for unsymmetrical radial cylindrical surface waves have been considered and their feasibility considerations as antennas are discussed. An antenna with its feed system has been designed, fabricated and tested. The radiation patterns are next plotted for surfaces having different values of surface reactances in the X-band of microwave frequency range. Finally the experimental results have been discussed and suggestions for future work made.en_US
