In this thesis, we will examine fingerprint recognition system methods and propose numerous effective pre-processing and minutiae extraction strategies. Normalization, segmentation, and orientation estimation are the most common pre-processing processes, with the goal of reducing fingerprint variance, trackingatheadirection by separating foregroundaandabackground area. The two most common methods for extracting minutiae are directagrayascale method and the binarizationabasedamethod. In this thesis, our main plan to assess fingerprintarecognitionasystem methods and provide numerous effective pre-processing and minutiae extraction strategies.en_US
