Title: BEHAVIOUR OF FRAMED SHEAR WALLS
Authors: Bhalla, S. N.
Keywords: CIVIL ENGINEERING;FRAMED BEHAVIOUR;REINFORCED CONCRETE FRAME;SHEAR WALLS
Issue Date: 1967
Abstract: An attempt has been made to ascertain the behaviour of single 2t©rey brick shear wall bounded by steel .frame and reinforced concrete frame. Plane frame and space from models with and without brick infill have been. tested under lateral cyclic and repetitive loads. Also an attempt has been made to study the damping of the composite structure from free vibrat. ion records and from hysteretic load deflection curves. Effective mass that can be assumed to be lumped at storey level for frequency calculation has also been estimated.
