An attempt has been made to analyse water tower stagings for horizontal loads by considering the joints of the members as rigid. The problem has been formulated as a rigid] hinted space frame using stiffness matrix method# The computational work has been carried out on I1 462O Digital Computer, Three two.tere6 towers with square, hexagonal and octagonal braces have been chosen for analysis, The results have been compared with those obtained from conventional analysis used in coy-to-day design offices,,. The superstructure of he toer has been assumed to ho infinitely rigid. After comparison of results with existing method of analysis number of conclusions have been drawn and suggestions have been mace, though the analysis is limited to only three structures,en_US
