| Abstract: | In this report, we started discussing the previous studies of Earthquake Scenario in Bihar and Nepal like Bihar Nepal Earthquake of 1833, 1934, 1988 and 2015. Also, the data required to calculate the Earthquake scenario is collected for the state of Bihar like population data and landuse data combination of the two is studied for all districts of Bihar. Based on the literature review of the intensity and ground motion parameters, Ground motion prediction equation (GMPE) are assumed and the values of PGA/PGV/PGD are to be converted into intensity scale and this scale(MSK scale) is Provided with list of districts having various intensity levels. In this report, we have discussed the calculated values of PGA, Sa(0.2) and Sa(1.0)for the 1934 Bihar Nepal Earthquake and found its maximum values to be 0.34g, 0.61g and 0.57g respectively with taking into account the local site conditions. To accommodate the local site effects, Vs30 data for the Bihar state is taken from USGS (United States Geological Survey) and it was varying from 180 to 900. |
