Abstract: In a Recent decade the power injection level due to wind power generation plant has increase sufficiently large in AC Grid system, which cause instability in the Grid system. To cope with the dynamic of power level changing and to remain wind power generation plant with the part of the grid system it required the grid side converter should have wide range of controllability. A large number of researches are going on to improve the design of converter that can support the dynamic of Grid, This Report present a brief literature review of grid code, Indian Grid Code and implementation of doubly fed induction generator in wind energy system using MATLAB Simulink. And to extract maximum available power at the wind turbine optimal torque control method is implemented.
