| dc.description.abstract | In many applications it is very important to monitor condition of battery for taking very important decisions related to charging and replacement of battery. In application like electric vehicles continuous monitoring of battery bank is very in order to know exactly the capacity of vehicle and to eliminate standing of electric vehicles. In this report some battery monitoring techniques are described for lead acid batteries. There three methods described to monitor batteries coulometric measurements, open circuit voltage measurement and adaptive monitoring. In adaptive monitoring the state of charge is calculated by using coulometric measurements and it is corrected by using open circuit voltage measurement. Study is done through simulation lithium ion battery and lead acid battery model is used for simulation. | en_US |
