Vertical extension of the building is required for the building area of 22m x18m. The addition of one floor and seismic analysis by ETABS shows that six columns are failing in flexure. The six column is retrofitted by using Reinforced concrete jacketing. The design of the column is done using SP-16 Design Aid code. The beam members are failing due inadequate moment capacity and shear capacity. Beam(B1) total six beams failing in shear and FRP jacketing is done by using ACI-440-18R to resist the shear demand on the beam. Beam (B2) total of 15 beams is safe and has adequate moment and shear capacity to take the forces. Beam(B3) total of 12 beams are found to be failing due high moment and shear Demand. In this case reinforced concrete jacketing is designed to increase the moment as well as shear capacity of the section. Beam(B4) total of 10 beams are deficient in shear and FRP jacketing is designed to increase its shear capacity. There are total of 10 two-way slab panel and 5 one-way slab panels. The two-way slab reinforcement is found to be sufficient to take the loads. The one-way slab reinforcement was not enough and hence the slab is redesigned for RC jacketing.en_US
