Title: DEVELOPMENT OF ENGINEERED ATTACHED GROWTH SYSTEM FOR MICROALGAE MEDIATED WASTEWATER TREATMENT
Authors: Kumar, Sachin
Issue Date: Apr-2022
Publisher: IIT, Roorkee
Abstract: Freshwater contamination is increasingly regarded as the most important environmental issue. This has sparked the development of innovative wastewater treatments methods that are both more economical and more efficient to run than traditional wastewater processing systems. Microalgae production by Wastewater specifically "attached microalgae production," is one of the promising solutions. Microalgae biomass production from wastewater has sparked a lot of interest in recent years because of its capability as a good vital resource for capturing valuable bio yield. Because many microalgae species include useful goods, vast microalgae farming could supplement conventional agriculture and horticulture. Microalgae are being explored as the green technology for wastewater treatment and can be used for the variety of the uses like food for the animals, bio-fertilizers, etc. large-scale microalgae farming will supplement conventional agriculture and horticulture. For the microalgae cultivation the attached growth system is being fabricating and the microalgae inoculums acclimatization is take place on the attached surface.
