Issue Date: 1975
Abstract: Reduction of the power consumed by the deflection system of a T„ V. receiver# which amounts to almost 70? of the total has been a problem for designers. A practical solution of the above problem is to use solid state devices In this dissertation an attempt has been made to design and develop a solid state deflection system for a large screen black and white T.P. using indigeneous components. The design proceedure is presented in a way which is expected to prove of direct use in any practical appli-cation and care has been taken to keep the performance comparable to the existing systems. The salient features of the circuit developed are that R use of regulated power supply is completely eliminated. There is no transformer used in vertical deflection system. horizontal out put transformer design is also included to make the horizontal deflection system design complete and available for immediate use.
