In a crisp scenario, the transportation problem (TP) could only solve the problems having fixed values of all the parameters including availability and demand, but there are lots of uncontrollable factors in our day-to-day lives, which cannot be handled by such problems. Hence including uncertainties in each term makes the TP problem more practical and logical with real-life situations. Handling of such situations gives rise to the fuzzy transportation problem (FTP). In this dissertation, we have modeled fuzzy TP and studied different solution techniques under various membership functions. Further, The notion of fuzzy number is extended to intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFN) where dual degrees that is membership degree of acceptance and the membership degree of rejection, are measured. We have also studied the multiple objective transportation problem (MOTP) with IFN parameters and variables in this project.en_US
