The Stokes problem deals with understanding how fluids move and deform under the influence of applied forces, such as gravity or pressure. The Stokes problem is a fundamental challenge in fluid dynamics, where the viscosity of the fluid varies across the domain. This project presents a divergence-conforming discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for Stokes problem with variable viscosity. We present a residual based a posteriori error estimator, which has demonstrated to be reliable and efficient.en_US
