Investigations are ongoing into advanced technologies for building materials are in the limelight. Decorative touch both indoors and outdoors can be added through; ceramic tiles, which besides being strong. For sticking such tiles to walls, the method as known since time in memorial is the use of sand-cement grout. However, in this old-school technique it takes a lot of time before they are completely dried due to its water retention which is not good enough poor water retention, hardness and brittleness or rigidity, hardness and brittleness. The same applies to inflexibility, it cannot flex; the paste is too thick. One way of resolving these problems is by using lignin together with other cement-based materials. The combination of lignin and cement enhances various characteristics in terms of its mechanical as well as physical aspects, among them being higher bond strength, less cracking, and lower water penetration. The main idea here is not only to develop the mechanical strength but also to increase the tile adhesion. Our primary goal is to demystify lignin-based cementitious tile adhesive (CTA), its constituent elements and components. Creating CTA with lignin.en_US
