Abstract: This numerical simulation is conducted on a single-compartment fire with a door and a square obstruction placed in the middle of the compartment. The dimensions of the obstruction are one meter in length, one meter in width, and a half meter in height, and the dimensions of the compartment are 4 meters on each side, The Fire Dynamic Simulator (FDS) is be used to simulate a full open-door fire test. Heat Release Rate (HRR) values obtained experimentally and are used as input to the numerical simulator (FDS). In numerical studies, the computational domain has been fixed at 4 m × 4 m x 4 m, whereas the actual compartment has interior dimensions and wall thickness. Predicted results on temperature are being compared with experimental data measured from full-scale burning tests. For most cases, The majority of the time, the experimental data and the predicted results match up quite well.
