| Abstract: | Packaging is a material used to store the products in order to distribute, storage, pass information about the product, and reach the end consumer safely. Packaging not only safeguards the products from damage during transportation (Ibrahim et al., 2022), but also extends the shelf life of the product packed(Yildirim et al., 2018). These packaging materials can be in the form of paper, corrugated board, plastics, metals or glass (Ndukwu, 2017). Now-a-days packaging has been integrated in our daily life, without even realizing it. Day-to-day products are now packaged such as: toothpaste in lamitubes, milk in pouches or carton, cereals in paper box, juices in tetra-pak, ready-to-eat food in retort pouches, corrugated boards in e-commerce delivery and much more (Pascall, 2011; Ndukwu, 2017). As the day passes, we see packaging at every moment as it also plays a role in marketing, as appealing design and labels can influence the customer choices (Twede and Harte, no date). Packaging is mostly in form of rigid and flexible form, and with the increase in population and product demands, the world is moving towards flexible packaging. |
