Title: SEISMIC FRAGILITY ANALYSIS OF 3D MOMENT RESISTING FRAME BUILDINGS

Abstract: When earthquakes hit, buildings with irregular designs generally undergo severe damage. Researchers have been working hard to understand and assess the seismic vulnerability of such irregular structures. Previous studies have mainly used basic models to analyze the vulnerability of irregular buildings due to earthquakes. However, most of the time, they have considered simplified models that could not consider the complex interactions between lateral and torsional movements, especially as the irregularity of the building increases. For structures with many irregularities, like space (3D) structures, it is crucial to use a more realistic, i.e., a three-dimensional model, to evaluate such structures' behaviour during an earthquake properly. Three G + 4 buildings in seismic zones III, IV, and V have been studied by considering 5% accidental eccentricity in the design as per IS 1893 part I, 2016.
