| dc.description.abstract | In response to the critical need for effective flood damage assessment (FDA) strategies in flood-prone regions, this research introduces an integrated approach utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Focused on a proposed police training academy site in Gopalganj, Bihar, the study employs Autodesk Revit for detailed BIM modeling and integrates these models into Esri ArcGIS Pro for spatial analysis. The research utilizes HEC-RAS simulations to generate flood inundation maps, providing insights into the varying degrees of damage across site structures. Results highlight significant damage to key facilities such as the Store building, Sergeant Major Building, and several Watchtowers. Financial impact analysis reveals the Female Barrack as the most affected. This study emphasizes the urgent need for targeted flood mitigation strategies to enhance site resilience and minimize financial losses. By leveraging BIM and GIS technologies, the research aims to inform proactive disaster management strategies and foster sustainable urban development practices in flood-prone areas. | en_US |
