Development is the key to advancing with breakthroughs and cutting-edge technology that raise the community's living standards. Development also has consequences and substantial downsides that cause discomfort to living organisms and, more importantly, the environment. Multilayer packaging has raised the living standards and ease of survival. The breakthroughs in multilayer packaging development are impactful and reduce solid waste generation. Paper-based multilayered packaging has recently revived the paper industry as it is a sustainable option to replace single-use plastic. Multilayered paper-based packaging undoubtedly can benefit modern-day packaging in terms of low cost, lightweight, and barrier. Still, it is not a sustainable option as these multilayered paper-based packaging are not recyclable; thus, the problem of generating abundant landfills and wastes continues. A low-cost, water-soluble, and environmentally friendly coating material is created to facilitate recycling without leaving behind rejects and compromising the interfacial interaction between the paper and polymer.en_US
