Recently, advancements in electric motor control technologies have drawn researchers' attention to synchronous reluctance motors (SynRM), which are being considered as a potential alternative for high-performance applications, the Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM) is considered a viable alternative due to its ability to blend the benefits of both induction motors (IM) and permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM).SynRM performance is improved due to the absence of rotor windings and magnets in the rotor structure and its control strategies. In this thesis, static and dynamic performance comparisons have been conducted for two distinct control methods applied to synchronous reluctance motors (SynRM): Field-oriented control (FOC) and Direct torque control (DTC). These control techniques stand out as prominent strategies for SynRM, offering precise control over speed and torque. The features of both methods are illustrated through various operating conditions using Matlab/Simulink software.en_US
