Abstract: Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems are now considered to be an essential technology for sustainable energy generation due to the increasing requirement for renewable energy sources. The primary objective of this project is to build and implement a high-gain DCDC boost converter in order to boost the performance and efficiency of solar PV systems. The efficiency and high voltage gain of conventional boost converters often find difficult to achieve and can restrict the performance of solar energy systems. This work presents an innovative high-gain DC-DC boost converter topology that has been customized for solar PV applications to address these problems. The converter is perfect for use with low-voltage photovoltaic panels since it is made to produce a greater voltage conversion ratio with improved efficiency. To minimize losses and increase power output, the concept incorporates cutting-edge control strategies and creative circuit topologies. The MPPT technique is used to track the maximum power point of the PV array and adjust the duty cycle of the DC-DC converter accordingly. This ensures that the photovoltaic system is functioning at its maximum efficiency and generating the highest amount of power achievable. The report also discusses the use of a high gain DC-DC converter to boost the output voltage of the PV array. This is necessary because the output voltage of a PV array is typically too low to be used directly by most loads.
