| dc.description.abstract | According to the World Health Organization, 80% of wastewater is discharged into the environment without receiving adequate treatment. Constructed wetland is one of the suitable treatment system. It has great potential to remove organic contaminates and Nutrients. CWs have been suggested as a wastewater treatment system that uses low technology, cheap operating costs, and is environmentally friendly. Wetlands are proven to removing organic matter (BOD) , COD and nutrients including total nitrogen and Phosphate (PO43-), suspended particles. This report reviews the processes used to remove pollutants from wastewater in the root zone of constructed wetlands, including ion exchange, sedimentation, mineralization, chemical transformations, physicochemical adsorption, and both aerobic and anaerobic microbiological conversions. Data Analysis of the experimental data obtained through samples at different locations is done and trends and variations of removal efficiency on nutrients is studied. | en_US |
