Abstract: The planning of an agro-prosperous new town, Krushi Samruddhi Kendra, within the Vidarbha region along the Maharashtra Samrudhhi corridor, with the aim of achieving economic development focusws on economic development. The research encompasses a comprehensive review of the significance and provisions of the Samrudhhi corridor for the economic growth of the study area. Through case studies of existing new towns and feasibility analysis of phase II new towns, valuable insights are gained regarding their efficacy in promoting economic development. A conceptual spatial model is developed for agro-prosperity hubs, specifically Karanja Lad New town ( Krushi Samruddhi Kendra) showcasing the spatial planning process. The thesis presents recommendations based on the analysis of various factors, including connectivity, government initiatives, agriculture industries, APMC integration, demographic and socioeconomic profiles, and infrastructure development. By incorporating these recommendations into the proposal for the new town's land use map, the aim is to create a thriving economic ecosystem that leverages the existing agricultural economy, promotes agricultural growth, enhances value addition, and stimulates employment opportunities.
