Flat slab building become very popular since last decades. From Architectural and functional loint of view flat slab building was proved to be very effective. But the structural conliguration of the building is different than the conventional one. In conventional building loads are transmitted through beams from slab to column. Where as in flat slab building, loads are transmitted directly from slab to column. The structural safety of the flat slab building has assessed by performing the pushover analysis. Some improvements of flat slab building has also suggested in the dissertation. l)rop panel of various thickness, slab with camouflage beam of various slab thickness and a conventional building of same plan area and same story height has also compared with each other to get a best solution. Frequency analysis. response spectra analysis and non-linear pushover analysis have been perlormed on the seven different building models to evaluate the performance of them.en_US
