Abstract: In the present time when the rate at which the multimedia content produced is faster than what can be analyzed manually, there is a need for automated systems capable of understanding what the multimedia content describes. Manual annotation is a very slow process and is susceptible to the bias of the person. Automated methods are not only faster but also get rid of the bias factor. There are 3 components attached to a multimedia file, the video component, the audio content and the user description. So that the content is understood well, it is necessary to analyze all the 3 sources of information. The aim of the Semantic Web is to make content machine interpretable. Linking Semantic Web to Multimedia makes the system even more efficient as it enables linking different concepts together
