Abstract: | Renewable Energy is the key for sustainable future. In race to tap the maximum potential of renewable energy such as Solar Energy, the developed and developing nation has been working on energy efficient technology, tools and infrastructure. The development of smart solar energy infrastructure is one approach to achieve goal of making smart city and solar city. This is the transition era of changing trends form conventional energy system to clean energy systems. Since India has the most suitable condition with the second highest solar irradiation of 6-7 kWhl m2 in the world and its year around favorable sunny conditions, India holds the capacity to become the global solar hub. In India with successful ellort of Both Ministry of Renewable Energy and Government of India we have cumulative solar power of 3062 MW at - the end of year 2014, whereas the potential of Rooftop Solar power has yet to be calculated. Rooftop Solar energy is the right tool to make true the dream of making solar sufficient cities. India's future growth in • energy sector will be drawn lot faster than we anticipate if we able to achieve the maximum trappable potential to the fullest at the city level. Currently in Jodhpur district in Rajasthan, is the solar energy generation base for both state and central government as to be developed under solar power sector of India. Inspired with remarkable success of foreign cities rooftop solar system model and policy. India is also on the same track with upcoming 63 solar cities in its development plan. Therefor it is essential to disseminate the knowledge strengthening, conduction research in smart technology and tools for efficient solar energy development, Smart mini -Grid system, capacity building, for solar energy planning for city. The research aimed to guide the solar energy deployment strategy in Jodhpur city to suppress the demand supply gap in energy sector. Thus this research will be useful to concerned stakeholder for creating plausible policy planning guideline to evolve an energy efficient sustainable development in the Jodhpur city system. |
