Abstract: UnintelTupted power supply is the dire need for all the industries and institutions across the world. To maintain this uninterrupted supply high voltage transmission systems play a significant i-ole. However, it has been observed that performance of high voltage insulators which are used in high voltage transmission systems is a crucial factor in maintaining uninterrupted supply. In this context, researchers have argued that critical flashover voltage of polluted insulators is an important criterion. With this backdrop, the present analysis is an endeavor to analyze the effect of critical flashover voltage, varying with physical parameter of the polluted insulator through artificial neural network software package MATLAB. Input parameter for the adaptive ANN, Diameter (D), height (H), Leakage Length (L), Form factor (F) and ESDD (equivalent salt deposit density) (C)
