This thesis basically deals with the correct operation of Current Transformers. The whole thesis has been divided into two parts, first one deal with the detection of saturation interval of secondary waveform and second one to correct the secondary waveform in the detected saturation time interval. For saturation detection one efficient new algorithm based on Lissajous-pattern has been proposed and compared with two previous algorithms. After that an idea has been discussed that after detection of saturation interval how we can correct the CT secondary current to get expected secondary current free from saturationen_US
