Distribution system designing needs several planning step and very difficult mathematically calculations. Size Selection of conductors is a very important part of the planning process to designing and up gradation of our distribution systems. In this thesis we study the several methods to select conductor's set for distribution system with different constraints. Here, our object to select the conductor size by using genetic algorithm tool. Here we consider the uncertainty in load at each bus, that means Variation in load, Different value of load at each bus, and these will be found by using probabilistic scheme. This increases the difficulty of our objective. Our aim is to select the best conductor set with cost of conductor and cost of the power and energy losses with voltage constraints and current capacity of conductor taken into account. The effectiveness of our proposed method can be measured and demonstrated with different case studies on typical test distribution systems. Further we can extend this work for mesh connected system and in three phase system also.en_US
