In the present work, the thermal hydraulic behaviour of three fluids compact heat exchanger is analysed first by experiment and then those experimental results were compared with the numerical results. Initially an experiment with triple concentric heat exchanger was carried out and the performance of heat exchanger was evaluated by passing the water at different temperatures and different mass flow rates. The friction factor behaviour with Reynolds number was found out and that behaviour was very much similar to that of darcy friction factor formula. After that Numerical analysis was carried out to find out the thermal behaviour of triple concentric heat exchanger with same diameters and the results found in numerical analysis were comparable with that of experimental results. Further numerical analysis was extended for plate heat exchanger with same hydraulic diameters as in triple concentric heat exchanger. Finally Numerical analysis was carried out for plate fin heat exchangers.en_US
