Fire triggered by earthquake is gaining much importance in research community now a days. In general these two phenomena individually are the most adverse that structure can experience. Generally Reinforced concrete framed structures are considered to have good resistance to fire. However in recent years several Reinforced concrete structures all over the world experienced a partial or entire collapse under fire. Reinforced Flat slabs or Flat plates are typical structural system widely used for Residential and office structures. These tvne of structures generally prone to failure in Punching shear around slab-column connection. There has not been any knowledge about response of these structures subjected to fire. In this research 3D Non linear finite element analysis has been carried out on RC flat slab frame. The FEM package used in this study is Abaqus V 6.10. Emphasis is laid on the response of Flat slab frame exposed to fire, which is initially having lateral displaced configuration. This is achieved by sequential analysis i.e.in first step frame push to different magnitudes and coupled thermal analysis has carried out on the released boundary condition frame. Response of these structures i.e. lateral, vertical deflections, reaction forces, stresses distribution and possibility of punching shear on the structure under fire has been studied. The difference between sequential and superposition results have been studieden_US
