Abstract: | A numerical system will be created to settle the three-dimensional potential distribution about a point source of culTent placed in or on the surface of a half-space holding subjective two-dimensional conductivity distribution. Finite Difference Method is used for Poisson's equations by utilizing point- as well as region discretization of the subsurface. An exact Mixed Boundary condition will be utilized at the "interminably far off' edges of the - lower half-space. Correct results utilizing area discretization strategy will be acquired with fundamentally less orderly computational costs than with the unwinding, limited component, or system result techniques for models of similar measurements. Using the finite difference technique (Dey and Morrision, 1969) various analytical synthetic simulation are carried out for model such as dyke model, Horst model using pole-pole configuration and calculated the response of the resistive bodies and find the 2-D resistive anamoly. A case study is carried out to find the sharp vertical contact of 2-D resistive bodies containg the cavity |
